Following on from a successful 2017 debut, the Drag-Ens Hot Rod Club will host Rattletrap 2.0 on Saturday, May 12 at Crowdy Head Beach.

The classic hot rods, vintage race cars and bikes have been hand selected from numerous applicants, maintaining a historical element to the meet, right down to flag starts and period dress. Running side by side on the sand on a small section of beach directly in front of the Crowdy Head Surf Life Saving Club, the action and the atmosphere is easily enjoyed from the sand, the club or the grassy knoll. The event will include bracket sprints, grudge matches and an Exhibition Class for unique or historical vehicles. All vehicles must be manufactured on or before 1941 or a purpose built Hot Rod rebuilt in the style of a traditional hot rod, custom or vintage race car.

The racing will commence from 9.30am and go for approximately 4 hour with non stop action the entire time. Dictated by the outgoing and incoming tides, times cannot be set in stone for each race, with Sunday reserved as a rain date.
