Get back in touch with nature and spend a perfect day watching these gentle giants off the coast of Harrington and Crowdy Head.

Humpback whales migrate north to warmer waters between May and July, before returning south between August and October to the rich feeding grounds of Antarctica.

Whale watching and fishing charters operate from Crowdy Head during the whale migration season. Alternatively, there are many excellent land-based whale-watching sites along the beaches, sand dunes and rocky headlands.

The Crowdy Head Lighthouse Reserve offers a spectacular vantage point to watch these magnificent creatures, so don't forget to bring your binoculars.
