4.3 The Rhythm of Life 

Garbage Collection: Red landfill bins are collected weekly, while yellow (recycling) and green (garden organics) bins are collected on alternate fortnights. Collection is on Friday morning. The MidCoast Council website has details of what can and can’t go in each bin. The Council also provides an annual bulky waste collection service. 

The nearest rubbish tip is the Taree Waste Management and Community Recycling Centre located at 6843 The Bucketts Way, Tinonee. 

Harrington Markets: John Oxley Reserve. New Year’s Day, Easter Monday, middle of July school holidays and Monday of the October long weekend: 8am-1pm. In support of the Marine Rescue Service. 

Australia Day Community Awards: The Harrington Function Centre is the venue for an annual ceremony recognising local achievers and celebrating service to the community.
